A short backstory

A glimpse of my life is written in this piece.

I grew up in Keningau, a small town with valleys of spectacular landscape views situated in the heart of Sabah. My time in Chinese school had me fluent in Mandarin, along with their cultures and taste buds. Of course the moment I step into Peninsular, Melaka, I was struggling (maybe a bit) to adapt to the environment. Nevertheless, the amount of camping in the wild helped me in terms of mental strength and physical changes.

My childhood years were mostly filled with playing games on my uncle's outdated laptop, spilling my thoughts and feelings on pieces of paper and getting stuck in awkward scenarios. The many years of forcing myself in new environments with strangers made me into an ambivert with a knack in communicating skills, which in turn sharpened my abilities when it comes to socialising.

My course was one thing I was confident to pursue, all the syllabus and activities it provided was like a complete package for my character development arc. I wanted to do everything, and MC111 gave exactly what I wanted, which was a good slap in the face about reality. As a result, I realised the specialties that I have and what my true passion was, and I never regretted going into MC111.

Learning about coding, scriptwriting, animating, marketing was overwhelming, but as a multitasker, it felt like a good challenge for me. I found that I am better at public speaking, copywriting, graphic design and of course content creating on social media platforms. The industrial lifestyle of this course provided me the perspective of mass media communicators that was very interesting and exciting to learn. In my free time, I experiment with social trends using my account on TikTok.

Apparently, I am apart of the lifestyle, food hunting niche as most of my videos relating to it blew up and received quite a lot of views. To be fair, I applied the skills and knowledge I learned about content creating to my videos. My extroverted side helped a lot in terms of speaking in public, a talk I did about 'Art is Dead' was like a starting point in my university era after retiring from English debate back in high school.

I still play games and watch snippets of gameplays about the newest release by top gaming companies, but due to the piles of work I have to complete, fortunately I had managed to touch grass in my daily life. My career goal is to achieve a digital marketing position in a company with engaging environments, excellent mentorship and challenging projects to further develop my skills.

I believe in good team dynamics in contrary to independent work. It doesn't matter what company I am in, I am determined to make a name for myself and create a legacy with my hard work. For short term, I aim to further develop my skills and earn specialties specifically in hard skills. The experience and lesson I gain will help me in furthering my career path, preparing me for the harsh environment of work life.

If you have read up to this point, I just wanted to let you know that was only 30% of my life story, but I plan to stay mysterious and add suspense to this part of page. Although I do hope you have enjoyed it so far, I think I elaborated well about my journey, skills and aspirations. Cheers and Thanks xx
